The Christmas season can be so incredibly busy! I honestly find myself thinking, how can I make time for hospitality when I feel like my head is going to pop off!?! It’s in those moments that I feel Jesus gently whisper in my ear, “My child, your priorities are skewed.” Here is some help for you and for me, I am excited to share with you 10 EASY Ways To Show Hospitality This Christmas!
Approximately two thousand years ago Mary and Joseph were traveling to Bethlehem. A town that appeared to have no friends, family, or even connections. It came to be time for Mary to deliver her baby and if it had not been for the hospitality of an anonymous man or woman. The savior of the world would have been born in the streets. However, someone had compassion on them and gave them the only place they had, a barn! The King was born and laid in a manger. Simple yes, I can only imagine how grateful the Holy Family was for this modest provision of hospitality.
Biblical Hospitality does not need to be fancy. You don’t even need a clean house to practice it! It really involves the heart and a willingness to share with others what you have available at the time.
Christmas is a great time of year to practice hospitality and open your home to so many lonely people that may be living around you.
