10 Secrets Of Strong And Healthy Hair

  1. NUTRITION    Your hair will not be healthy or strong is you are eating terribly.  Nutrition is the key to strong and healthy hair but also to a vibrant, simple lifestyle.
  2. BLOWDRY ON LOW     Always use the lowest temperature setting on your blow dryer to avoid damaging your hair.  Better yet, let your hair air dry.  If you choose to blow dry your hair make sure to hold the hairdryer at least 8-10 inches away from your hair as professionals suggest.
  3. RINSE WITH COLD WATER     At the end of your shower, give your hair a cold rinse.  Yes, it is quite invigorating but also closes the hair cuticle and seals moisture in.  This process will make your hair look shiny and healthy!
  4. USE ESSENTIAL OILS     Besides the aromatic benefits of essential oils in beauty products they are an often missed critical step in maintaining strong and healthy hair.  Essential oils for beautiful hair and a healthy scalp include Geranium, Rosemary, Clary Sage, ylang-ylang, Sandalwood, Tea Tree, Peppermint, and Roman Chamomile.  Add these products to your shampoo and conditioner or massage into your scalp every week.
  5. COMB FROM THE BOTTOM UP     First off, using a comb is better than a brush with the possible exception of a natural bristol hairbrush.  The practice of combing your hair from the bottom up prevents breakage.
  6. WASH EVERY OTHER DAY     Natural hair oils are well, good for your hair.  Skipping a wash keeps proteins and natural oils in your hair helps your hair remain strong and eliminates split ends!
  7. APPLE CIDER VINEGAR RINSE     I use Braggs Apple Cider Vinegar but any organic brand will do and it will do wonders for your hair.  Apple cider vinegar rinse will get rid of extra build-up from shampoo, conditioners, and hair products.  It also restores and balances the natural PH level of your hair in a healthy way!  Here comes soft, shiny, and easy-to-manage hair!
  8. STRESS LESS
  9. APPLY A HAIR MASK     If you struggle with dry hair then using a hair mask weekly is a must.
  10. SCALP MASSAGE     Did I mention that having a scalp massage is heavenly!?!  You can seek the help of a family member or do it yourself with wonderful results.  Scalp massages increase circulation and as an added benefit reduce your stress and fatigue.  Here’s what you will need, coconut oil at room temperature and any essential oil from the list above.  My favorite combination is 3 drops of Ylang Ylang, 1 drop of Rosemary, and 1 drop of Peppermint into coconut oil.
