Safety is a basic human need. Regrettably, in a fallen world, we don’t always feel protected. Nervous anxiety is never far off. That does not take away the fact that Our Father is the only one who is able and willing to be our keeper. Fear can be good as in, there is a car coming fast and I better start running because I fear I will be hit or the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. It also can be destructive and has the power to make us react irrationally. Here are just a few Bible Verses For When You Need To Feel Safe.
The Hebrew translation for ‘God is my Protector’ is Elohim Shomri. The Lord Himself watches over me and He is my “protective shade”. (Psalm 121:5) This is lovely! Beautiful! It is in the character of God to keep us safe.

Let’s turn away from fear. Turn off the news, social media, and well-intentioned people with many opinions. May we all pause, meditate on God’s Word, and soak in the peace that passes all understanding that only Jesus can give us. He is the Prince of Peace!

What is the most difficult thing keeping you from trusting God to keep you safe?
