How To Have A Christ-Centered St Patricks Day, now that is the question? This special day is just around the corner and it is one of my favorite holidays to celebrate. Yes, I am Irish just take a look at my red hair and you won’t have any doubt. In one way, celebrating St. Patrick’s Day is about honoring my family’s heritage. More importantly, it is about exalting a great missionary in Christian history.
The challenge is to communicate the importance of this cherished holiday to children?
For the record, it has never been easier! Thanks to so many talented Christian Bloggers we have a plethora of family activities, art projects, and educational resources that honor God and will enable you and your family to celebrate a Christ-Centered St. Patrick’s Day!
How To Have A Christ-Centered St Patricks Day
One of the most charming ideas I came across while researching for this post is to create a St. Patrick’s Day Story Bag from Rhythm of the Home. This is a wonderful educational tool in the retelling of the true story of St. Patrick and also a fun family craft! This activity has stood the test of time in my home which is an added bonus!
This next idea is easy, meaningful, and great for all ages and that is why I love it. It will help your children better understand the trinity and how St. Patrick actually used the clover to explain this truth to others. The trinity is a really hard concept for children and adults to understand so this project will be a help! This is a FREE printable from Bible Story Printables!
The teacher in me ADORES this one from Intoxicated on Life! You not only get a FREE critical thinking packet for your children you also get links to videos about the true meaning of St. Patrick and his life and ministry. Wait, there is more! Check out the wonderful book recommendations too!
Want to enjoy a baking project with your children? Irish Soda Bread is easy to make, so make sure to get the children involved in creating this delicious recipe. You can check out my recipe for Gluten-Free Irish Soda Bread from The Peaceful Haven here and ENJOY!
