In a nutshell here is why essential oils are so effective. They are able to enter into cells! Bacteria usually grow on the outside of a cell and a virus is on the inside of a cell. Each cell has an oily membrane. Water-based medication is unable to penetrate the cell to attack the virus while essential oils are able to enter into the cell and attack viral infections. They are also effective at killing the bacteria too!
