A few weeks ago, I had my pastors wife over to make this recipe for DIY Egyptian Magic in an effort to help her save some money and detox her home. I have to admit that I added another ingredient that I thought would be a healthful addition and the whole batch turned green!!! It looked awful and I was so embarrassed, it was still great for the skin even though it looked disgusting! Note to self, do NOT add Yarrow Pom to anyone else’s Egyptian Magic body cream except your own!
I have been using Egyptian Magic for three years now and first found it at Costco of all places. At first, the name and the style of the jar left me skeptical (you have to admit that label looks a bit cheesy). As I read the ingredients I was happily surprised to find only six all-natural ingredients! I love this stuff and use it every time I get out of the shower or bath and my skin looks so much better. I am excited to share with you my money-saving recipe for DIY Egyptian Magic!
This recipe looks different every time I make it as the color depends on where you get your olive oil, honey, and beeswax. Some are white and some are golden so don’t worry if your DIY Egyptian Magic is a different color than mine. The color varies every single time I make it.
I have also taken the liberty of adding life-giving essential oils to the recipe to make it smell better and increase the healing and protecting properties of the already amazing Egyptian Magic.
DIY Egyptian Magic
Ingredients
1/2 cup organic olive oil
1 1/2 TBS. organic beeswax
1 TBS raw honey
1/2 TBS bee propolis powder
1/2 TBS royal jelly
1 TBS ground bee pollen
5 drops frankincense essential oil
5 drops lavender essential oil
DIRECTIONS
Place the olive oil and beeswax in a glass bowl. Melt the beeswax and olive oil in the microwave or double boiler. Stir every thirty seconds.
Let cool until warm, not hot.
In a mixing bowl, combine the remaining ingredients and mix on low speed until all the ingredients are well incorporated. (I use my kitchen aid mixer.)
Store in a sealed glass jar at room temperature.
Your skin will thank you for this!

Janelle, this sounds wonderful! Where do I find the various bee ingredients? How about raw honey? Can you tell I’m a novice at this stuff?
Thanks
