Snacking with allergies is challenging, that’s why I am tickled pink to be able to share with you these Healthy Delicious Gluten-Free Snacks!
I find I can manage allergy-friendly meals pretty well but when it comes to snacks I am at a loss. These snacks are handpicked by my family which includes six children and two adults, my favorite snack recipe is for awesome apple boats (see the recipe at the end of this post)! These low-carb, gluten-free snacks are all healthy, nutritious, and delicious. Kid-tested and approved.
Healthy Delicious Gluten-Free Snacks
- 100% juice popsicles
- banana boats
- celery and cream cheese
- celery and peanut butter
- mini carrots and gluten-free dip
- gluten-free granola and yogurt
- cheese and gluten-free crackers
- frozen grapes or strawberries
- fruit and yogurt smoothie
- apple boats
- gluten-free trail mix
- Larabar
- salsa and chips
- fresh tomato sliced
- dried fruit or fruit leather
- cold melon slices
- peach iced green tea
- gluten-free beef jerky sticks
- fresh fruit or vegetables
- a bowl of maple syrup-sweetened yogurt with fruit
- homemade orange Julius
- gluten-free granola bars
- watermelon slush ice pops
- refrigerated pineapple chunks
- gluten-free frozen chocolate-dipped bananas
Apple Boats
Ingredients
apple
peanut butter, almond butter or sunflower butter
gluten-free and dairy-free chocolate chips or raisins
DIRECTIONS
- Cut the apple into quarters.
- Remove seeds and apple core.
- Spread peanut butter on the middle section of the apple so it looks like a rocking boat.
- Place the chocolate chips in a straight line on top of the peanut butter. (These are supposed to be the people in the boat.)
