I have to admit I’ve been shaken a bit this week. The world seems to be a mess, yet again.  I feel as if I am in constant prayer.  I find myself thinking of all the mothers and fathers trying to keep their children fed and safe, so many lost and hurting people overwhelm my heart.  I want them to see and feel the forgiveness and freedom that can only be found in our sweet and powerful Savior. My heart cries out to Jesus and asks for their salvation.  Then God whispers truth to my heart, He helps me to see how critical my role as wife and mother is to the stability of this fallen world.  He is calling us. Will we listen?  Homemakers Stand Your Post!

Although our culture does not acknowledge how powerful our role as wives and mothers is, it is non the less true.  The Bible gives us our vision, our purpose, our Father gives us tender encouragement when we are forgotten, underappreciated, mocked.

In this world, you will have trouble, but worry does no good, homemakers we must stand our posts! We must continue the critically important role of raising the next generation of Christ-followers, we must see our homes as a refuge of love in a dark world. A safe place for seekers, for ministry, and for hospitality. We must seek and exalt truth, not the truth of this world but the only truth that matters, the Holy, Perfect, Sufficient Word of God. How we serve Christ in our homes makes an eternal difference, raising a spiritually healthy family has the potential to change the world!

It’s easy to lose track of the main things…

And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. Matthew 22:37-39
