What is a healthy lifestyle? It is a way of living that addresses your whole self.  It addresses your mind, body, and spirit.  It is living in a way that lowers your risk of being seriously ill.   Not all illnesses and diseases are preventable; however, many ailments can be avoided by focusing on our beautifully created bodies through the lens of prevention. Take a moment and look at the medicine you have in your home.  What is in it?  It may be time to makeover your medicine cabinet.

For the record, yes, I am an all-natural girl however, I take prescription medication as well as use over-the-counter medicines when necessary.  It is not about being a purist, it is about using the resources God has given you to maintain good health for you and your family.

Medicine Cabinet Evaluation Questions

  • Is it expired?
  • Does it treat the symptom or the root cause of the illness?
  • What side effects are possible when using the product?
  • Are there dyes or artificial coloring?
  • Are the ingredients synthetic?
  • What is the financial cost?
  • Are there allergens in them like gluten?

When approaching our family’s health we all need a good dose of common sense!  First, take a look at each member of your family and critically analyze their individual needs.  Are you addressing any ongoing health challenges?  This is a great place to start when determining what products need to be in your medicine cabinet.

Think ahead and stock your Medicine Cabinet, not only meeting the immediate needs of your family but also providing safe solutions for possible emergency scenarios. When evaluating my medicine cabinet.  I first and foremost need to address possible allergic reactions to medicine whether it is synthetic or natural.  I use essential oils because there are no side effects only side benefits! Essential oils are 100% natural and safe, more effective than many modern medical approaches to health problems, and they are cheaper than traditional medical care!

I challenge each one of you,

to take a moment and,

detox your medicine cabinet.
