Peppermint is my favorite essential oil. Hence, the title Why Peppermint Essential Oil is Perfect. It is, of course, my opinion and not fact. I will, however, try to convince you to try Peppermint essential oil and use it on a regular basis. It is truly an amazing oil with amazing benefits!
My favorite way to use Peppermint essential oil is to put a drop on the palm of my hand and inhale the scent and then rub my hands together and lastly massage the oil into the back of my neck. It always makes me feel better no matter what ails me. The first time I tried Peppermint this way it was so relaxing it almost made me doze off.
Essential oils hit people differently. It is in one way a lot like coffee in that two people can be drinking from the same brew but have totally different responses. It is that way with essential oils. You have to experiment and find what works for you.
I have given much thought to why Peppermint Essential Oil works so well for me and have come to the conclusion that it is because of its anti-inflammatory properties. One of my favorite ways to use and apply Peppermint is to put a drop in my water and drink slowly after dinner. To put it directly on my stomach or intestines and also to apply to my face (avoiding eyes) when I have a headache.

Frequently used in toothpaste and chewing gum for oral hygiene, Peppermint also helps alleviate occasional stomach upset, reduces fever, and promotes healthy respiratory function.

I love peppermint oil too! I have been using it for an itchy scalp lately and it makes such a difference. A good whiff seems to calm a headache or nausea so quickly too.
