Satan is prowling and never rests. He is the father of lies. Satan deceives, destroys, kills, and steals. He takes God’s truth, changes it just a little, and seeks to destroy all Jesus’ followers. The evil one is still using the same old ploy he used with Eve in the book of Genesis 3:1, “Did God really say that”?” He introduces false teachings and uses false teachers for his benefit, ever the liar.
It is of critical importance as a woman of God that you know, memorize, read, meditate, and study the Bible. I cannot state how urgent this is! Fact-check everything you hear against what the Bible actually says. This will take time and energy. Do not blindly believe what people say and this goes for your pastor, woman’s Bible study leader, small group leader, and bloggers like me too. Be a woman of the Word!
The Lies You Believe
You are an animal
Genesis 1:26 Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”
Women are the same as men
Genesis 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.
Follow your heart / your feelings are the truth
Proverbs 28:26 Whoever trusts in his own mind is a fool, but he who walks in wisdom will be delivered.
You need to be available 24/7
Matthew 11:28-30 “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
Exodus 20:8-11 “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor, and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord your God.
America is a Christian country
Our country, the United States of America was founded on Judeo-Christian principles. It is impossible for a country, a business, or a government agency to be a Christian.
Young is beautiful
Proverbs 16:31 Gray hair is a crown of glory; it is gained in a righteous life.
Titus 2:3-5 Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves to much wine. They are to teach what is good, and so train the young women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled.
Evolution is a fact
At this point, all people should know this but they don’t. Evolution is just one of many theories about how the world was created. It is not a fact, it has not been proven. In fact, many areas of science have disproven this prevalent theory.
Sex before marriage is okay
Ephesians 5:1-33 Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children. And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. But sexual immorality and all impurity or covetousness must not even be named among you, as is proper among saints. Let there be no filthiness nor foolish talk nor crude joking, which are out of place, but instead let there be thanksgiving. For you may be sure of this, that everyone who is sexually immoral or impure, or who is covetous (that is, an idolater), has no inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God.
Global warming will destroy the earth and the people on it
Climate change is a real thing but it will not destroy the world. We are fortunate, thanks to gardener’s records throughout the world, to clearly understand that the earth has cold periods and warm periods. It’s proven, natural, and normal to experience climate change. (A big thank you to all the dedicated gardeners who have gone before and recorded weather patterns, trends, and temperatures for several thousands of years.)
The past holds many failed predictions, you can look back at doomsayers and see that scientists predicting the end of the world through hunger, starvation, and population explosion were categorically wrong. It was false when first postulated in the 19th century. The incorrect book “The Population Bomb” was first published in the 1960s. It is still a lie then and is still a lie now. Never believe any person who says they can predict the future.
There is no such thing as right or wrong
James 4:17 So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin.
Isaiah 5:20 Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!
Children are a burden
Psalm 127:3-5 Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children of one’s youth. Blessed is the man who fills his quiver with them! He shall not be put to shame when he speaks with his enemies in the gate.
When your dead your dead
Romans 10:9 Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
2 Corinthians 5:1 For we know that if the tent that is our earthly home is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
Marriage can be between same-sex people
Genesis 2:24 Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.
Hebrews 13:4 Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous.
Matthew 19:2-9 And large crowds followed him, and he healed them there. And Pharisees came up to him and tested him by asking, “Is it lawful to divorce one’s wife for any cause?” He answered, “Have you not read that he who created them from the beginning made them male and female, and said, ‘Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate.”
There are different races
Acts 17:26 And he made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their dwelling place.
You are enough
2 Corinthians 12:9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
Work is to be avoided at all costs
Genesis 2:15 The Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to work it and keep it.
Colossians 3:23 Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men,
Sexual preference is an identity
2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.
Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
Differing opinions on certain topics is hate speech
You can love someone deeply and not agree with the things they stand for or believe in. It is not hateful to express your opinion based on your worldview or religious beliefs.
Ephesians 4:15 Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ,
Ephesians 4:25 Therefore, having put away falsehood, let each one of you speak the truth with his neighbor, for we are members one of another.
1 Corinthians 13:6 It does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth.
There is no such thing as a sin
1 John 1:8-10 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
There is no such thing as absolute truth
2 Timothy 3:16-17 All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.
2 Peter 1:20-21 Knowing this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture comes from someone’s own interpretation. For no prophecy was ever produced by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.
Ladies, I am far from perfect, I expect you to fact-check me and all that I say against Holy Scripture. Always remember that for the believer, your sins are washed away by the blood of Christ. There is no condemnation in Christ Jesus.

is that we become Women of the Word,
may we never ever waver!
